Description: The Webster Groves Historical Society, of which I am a board member, webmaster and work in the archives, needed a system that allows searching of their historical archives and easy updating. This is a personal project of mine I've been working on over the past year. This system replaces a closed-end, paper-based index created in 1989 with an electronic, searchable system that can be integrated with other institutional systems and provide accessibility to the public.
Responsibilities: Planned and designed database and developed application based on industry standards to create a web-based catalog for historical records. Functionality includes: ASP.NET Web forms authentication, several permission roles, several search criteria options, a basket that allows users to store found items for thirty days and a research request form where users can include items in their basket for reference.
