Description: Joe Grooming is an up and coming marketer of quality organic men's hair and body products. They needed a Web site with a look congruent with their print materials which represents the high-end product and brand effectively. It also had to cater to both end users and hair care professionals with a cost effective e-commerce solution. We researched several options for an off-the-shelf, economical e-commerce solution that met Joe Grooming's requirements and determined the Yahoo! solution would work the best. Its simple administration provided quick set-up and allows Joe Grooming to process order easily.
Joe Grooming uses the site in all its promotions and it has become the primary vehicle for sales other than purchasing directly from salons.
Responsibilities: Managed project. Collaborated with the designer while developing interface to keep details of his design intact during conversion from Photoshop files to working web pages. Developed a salon locator that searches by zip code and distance, and a Professionals section with a personalized registration form dependent on if one is a hair care professional, or Joe Grooming employee. Also included are a password retrieval system, and personalized content. Set-up and configured an e-commerce solution using a Yahoo! Standard Merchant Solution.
